As your Berserker and Minsc are both Warriors, they're guaranteed to have a nice, low THAC0 with Axes, whether they actually have any
proficiency points in Axe or not. Here's a tip: Undead are
EASY. Once you get past that whole Level-Drain thing, the Undead Scourge that threatens Athkatla is truly a force to fall down laughing at. Any character who's even capable of
picking Azuredge up off the ground can easily kill all the Undead in the city without even needing a potty break. Just give the Axe to Minsc or your PC and go to town. Your # of Attacks per Round will suffer, but it will still be quite sufficient.
