Dunno about the cleric stronghold.
As far as weapons go, you can buy a +3 longsword called Sword of the Roses from the fat dude at the Copper Coronet. The adventurer's mart has 1 or 2 +3-and-higher weapons, I believe. You also can get a ton of them from one of those two bonus merchants, the guy, who hangs out at the Copper Coronet.
