I've been playing BG2 forever...solved SOA, and am about 3/4 done with TOB. I just got a new computer that's running Windows XP instead of Windows '98, and my MP won't work on the new computer.

The game loads okay (although I can't do full install), but it won't let me start a new MP game, or load the old ones, or even import characters into TOB. I saved my MPSave file and I have them in the BGII: SOA folder, but the game doesn't seem to recognize them. It's like MP is disabled. Single player seems to be okay, so I have no clue what to do.

I've done about four clean installs, making sure it's on 'recommended' (not minimum), and still have the same problem. Any suggestions? (yes, already tried the patch; it doesn't help)
