Back in the crypt you were supposed to have found the Tomb of Heros. From one of those spirits you would have been asked to swear an oath. Once you did, you were able to take the signet of the mavin ring which you need for the Oracles.
The Algamesh amulet is not used on the angel. You give the Algamesh amulet to Kerielle who lives near Nymph Lake.
THe sword of Mastus should also be in the tomb of heros back in the crypt - I think.
