Each time your character levels up, you may train in one thing at all guilds you belong to. So at level 7 (for example), if you belong to the Mage guild, Warrior guild, and Cleric guild, you could train to increase your intelligence, your strength, and your spirituality all by one. When your character gets to level 8, you can train at all joined guilds for something else.
