IMHO....the Zenmaster and Valkyrie classes...Are an open invitation, to...
...recycle your characters and play through a second game.
They make a
Great twosome!!!
As Willow mentioned..a Zenmaster can learn All 6 schools of magic, so there's no need for a second spellcaster. As an added bounus...at 18th level Zenmaster, Bushi guild level 6, you can get '
Enlightenment' at the Dojo. Enlightenment adds 2
Full levels, to
All skills.(...

..All the stuff, thats been stuck at 12...changes to 14)
A Valkyrie...What can I say...She's
Hell on Heels...All the warrior, you'll ever need and then some. If you passed on the chance to make her a Paladin, (in the first game) you can pick up '
Crusade' when she reaches level 5 in the preists guild. (it's
only offered to Paladins and Valkyries) Crusade gives you
Double XP for all undead creatures you slay. (skeletons, mummies and banshees, but
Not vampires) Another plus to being a Valkyrie is...if you happened to get lucky and find the 'Lance of the Lady' in one of the last 2 chests...She is the
Only one who can use it.
BTW...It is true, that you can only
Get one Valkyrie per game...But ...you can have more than one
in the game. (if you play through, several times...I'm currently working on my 5th Valkyrie..

..)
I personaly didn't think the task involved in becoming a Valkyrie, was bad at all. Not when compaired to becoming a Zenmaster.
- To become a Zenmaster...you have to gather up all 4 tomes, from various dungeons, scattered all over the Gael Serran and return to the wizards guild.
- To become a Valkyrie...You fall in a hole in the floor, crawl through a passage, jump from a ledge to another ledge, ride a couple of elevators and grab G' Ezzard Ra's heart. Then you go back to G' Ezz, burn the heart and return to the Preist guild.
It only gets tedious, if the elevator doesn't let you off on the way back down. ( I quit trying to ride it back down..

..I just find the high point of the catwalk below and jump)
