I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that arcane casters aren't awesome like they were in, say, BG2. Still, I'll probably go with the paladin/sorcerer/EK for the CHA synergy.

As for party makeup, could you tell me how many NPCs are "forced" onto me? (Without spoilers, please). I'm afraid that the game will be too easy with two minds and a full party. Or by "forced" do you mean similarly to KOTOR, where you get the NPCs and chose which to take?
