I recently listened to the whole lot again and decided that I might want to actually read them (Jurney Into Space wasn't bad either, only ever a BBC broadcast but pretty incredible for a cast of five with only about three sound effects).
Left Hand of Darkness, was awesome and definitely heavy. Read it in a college Science Fiction class, years back. But it sure made an impact when we read it! I tend to go from one end of the spectrum to the other. I like variety and I like a good read. Whether it make me think hard or feel strongly or just plain laugh myself silly, if it's good reading it doesn't have to fit a particular genre or style for me to call it 'good'.

Wish I had more time for reading these days. Have been slogging through some light mysteries and now The Simbul's Gift and some other FR books.
