One of the pitfalls of having an animation series is that I can no longer fantasise about the world that my ZOIDS are supposed to live in. On the other hand, it rocks that the toyline has finally an animation series of its own.

Some names have been changed( mainly the faction Zenabas to Guylos), but most of the lore have remained intact. They chose to focus after the major Helic vs Guylos conflict though, so there is a chance they might make a prequel.

Oooo, and I so want to lay my hands on the new models! You know how hard it was to get an original ZOID in a box before 1999? Darn things were selling for hundreds.
