Strength Requirements come into play in BG2--the requirement for a Light Crossbow is 8 Strength. This rule would come into play in BG1 if you're playing Tutu, but I think the message would be "Inadequate Strength," not "Cannot use item."

You're not a Cleric/Thief, are you?

Is this the only Crossbow that you're not allowed to use?
