Yeah, that part just doesn't make much sense at all, seeing as his voice is ruined one moment, and fine the next. Even the audio commentary with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and David Fincher doesn't explain it. Guess it's just an artistic oversight. Nothing's perfect
