The ONLY reason for a FN is the CoC, so if you run one then reload and get the Cane, if not you may as well delete the char and start a new one, at that stage of the game they'll soon have caught up to within 1 level of the other chars in your party.
I'm getting less and less impressed with FN.
Fighters and Rogues out melee a FN, and if you want magic then have a spell-caster.
