I apologize in advance if this is a topic that should not be on Baldur's Gate II forum. I am pretty much a newbie to the world of D&D. I've loved BG ever since its release in '98, but havent at all gotten into the hard rules and characters of the D&D universe until now. Anyway, Im reading through the D&D 3rd edition handbook and was wondering, there are lot of characters drawn (very well in fact) in the book, and each character that is drawn has a little subtitle underneath that says their name. example 'lidda' (i think thats her name, i kinda forget, im at work, dont have the handbook on me). My question is: are these characters just made up for the book? or are they actual characters in the D&D universe somewhere? and if they are, where can i find out more about them!?
