You don't do good things all the time in the game. If you're evil you fight Irenicus or help the priests if Talos in the unseeing eye only to gain your soul back or other rewards. If you're neutral, you do so as not to disturb the balance. If you're good, you do it for the sake of doing smt good. There is a very big difference in the motives, which is not stated but implied.
