It works, but is a bit dull if you ask me. Backstabbing mostly does the trick (my fighter/thief did 160 dmg once on lvl 13 with Blade of the Roses) unless you're fighting mist creatures or KuaToa, who can see you even hidden in shadows. And of course Dragons are immune to backstab. But killing Dragons with traps is even cheaper than to cloudkill them. Power up your party and be a company of brave Dragonslayers.
