In the distance a tall, handsome and bare-chinned stranger with golden-brown skin and long, black hair approached, dressed in robes such as were worn by the menfolk of
Seres, a great kingdom two years away on horseback in the direction of the East. A great glowing katana could be seen slung on his back, almost as long as he was tall, with strange but beautiful writings etched into the metal along the full length of the blade.
Chiao Fung had been travelling for many moons now. When shall he ever find what he seeks? As he pondered this, he noticed two figures several dozen paces ahead, apparently engaged in some sort of commotion. Looking more carefully, he made out a guard holding a stammering peasant.
Chiao Fung ran closer. "Ho, friends," he cried, "what's the problem? Why belabor the poor peasant so? Do go easy on him, please."
(ooc> Chiao Fung [pronounced 'Chee-ow Foong'] is a neutral good human character. The powers of his katana -- his only weapon/magic item -- are as follows:
~ can
fly at enormous speed (let's say twice as fast as an average crossbow bolt).
~
semi-sentient -- can act on its own to help wielder e.g. attack an assassin who's sneaking up on wielder.
~ glows with a strong
light that can illuminate up to 30 feet (and can be turned off).
~ can
sense danger and warn wielder.
~ +6 to hit/damage, with 10% chance/attack of scoring a critical hit.
~ can be
remote-controlled by wielder's mind, so wielder can will it to fly to an enemy and attack.
In addition, Chiao Fung knows how to cast
heal serious wounds and a protective
power shield on himself and others.
As you might notice, the sword's much less powerful now than in the earlier thread. Any problem?

still don't like the sword -- okay, I'll remove it...
