After several hours, Calaethis awoke. He opened his eyes, his head still on his pillow. Still covered up, he looked around a bit, still lying there, before sinking back down into the pillow. A few hours passed, and he just lay there awake; his goddess's words had meant nothing to him. She'd said everything would be all right, and it wasn't. Calaethis felt hurt, betrayed, but mostly void. Void of emotion. He absently felt the dull pang of hunger; and closed his eyes again. He woke a couple of hours later, and continued to stare. Perhaps he could starve himself to death...
