Bio: Benkai is obviously from Japan. His family heritage is that of the Samuri, when they were the ruling power of Japan until 1876. From then on those that followed the Way of the Warrior had to remain hidden, for it was illegal to carry one's katana in public. This katana was thus hidden within the cane of Benny's ancestor, who continued to serve the land privately.
When modernization hit Japan, the younger generations were not so concerned with the past, and the spirit of the warrior laid forgotten in the old family heirlooms.
Then the world suffered the disaster of the bombs.
When this occurred, many looked to the old days and sought out the stories of their fathers. They knew knowledge was contained in thier history. Benny then found his ancestor's cane and realized that he had been led to it in order to help protect Japan and bring back the days of happiness for his family. He set out to do what he could, knowing he would be guided to his fate.
Benny has studied this ancient art and its teachings, and feels he is ready to honor his family by taking up the forgotten spirit within the katana he carries. If the world is to change, then it is up to him to make sure it changes the right way.
