Awakenings

Awakenings is the fourth book, first chapter in the successful game world of Lord of the Forums, a game that has been active since the fourth quarter of 2001.

Awakenings contains multiple side-stories and extensive quests. There are currently two active teams of good-aligned adventurers who are working towards seperate goals. There are other gamers involved in other stories spread out through the game world, and the GMs also have PCs involved in the game. The main antagonist is a GM's character.

Game play involves a story-based role-play where each player in turn contributes to the story by remaining active to progress the game towards the intended goals. The battles involve a D&D-based rule system and dice are sometimes used to determine successes and failures. There are two Game Masters that coordinate the action and determine how the story will play out, and these game masters coordinate their efforts to the game outside of IW.

Death can occur at any time to any player.

The two game masters are Larry_OHF and Cyril Darkcloud.
