I played both Arena and Daggerfall. Although I was very impressed with what they were trying to do (make an non-linear openended world where true RPGing is the name of the game), I don't think the technology was up to scratch.
Hopefully, now that the technology has moved along, their ambitions can finally be realized. I'm going to check the reviews first, because after being very enthusiastic about the first games, they became repetitive and unfocused.
I'm looking forward to it!
