you actually CAN get them with the CLUA console, but that isn't very nice. the codes i think are book03-book08. unfortunately, the Wisdom and Charisma books cannot be placed in quickslots, so are useless.

You could play all the way from BG1, or install ToB and take on the Watcher's Keep. (or both)
