spam is canned ham but also the meaningless posting of messages with the only possible purpose of annoying other people. Its like putting an ad on a bulletin board and then putting the same add 20 times over. Furthermore there is e-mail spam, you've probably had it yourself. Dozens of unwanted e-mails concerning nothing of real interest dumped in your mailbox every 5 minutes. Plus its a way a gaining in rank here on the forum by constantly posting messages that hold no actual content. Clear?
