bit later my rogue fires bow at orc while on bridge, rolls 1 and 3 for balance checks - joins the paladin
2 orcs roll up and hack the druid to -10 hp - death
mage and barbarian survive - mage buggers off to work for the enemy - much safer

Happens sometimes...everyone has bad days with the rolls. And no ability to reload like in BG!
Time to get more experience in character generation!
