go get your hands on some aloe vera ointment, man...you should be able to find some at a pharmacy somewhere. if you use that daily on the burn, it will promote quicker regeneration of your skin cells, it will soothe any pain you might have, and may even lessen the severity of any scarring. make sure you find an ointment that's as pure aloe vera as possible (try to avoid any other additives...) the plant in itself (the gel within it, actually) is notoriously effective in treating skin burns.
sorry to hear about what happened. few things are more physically painful than a burn...

ABSOLUTELY!
I have had numerous burns on various body parts due to freak accidents and negligence on my part as well as others. Pure aloe works wonders toward healing the burn with no scars as does cooling the burned area off ASAP. The last time I got burned, I had third degree burns on the back of my hand through the negligence of a fellow employee. I went home, broke open an aloe plant and rubbed the gel on the burn and stuck my whole hand into a large bowl of ice until I couldn't feel anymore burning sensation whenever I let my hand begin to thaw.
I have slight discoloration on the back of my hand in one or two spots that are hardly noticable. Considering the flesh between my fingers and even my cuticles were blistered, I came out of that one pretty lucky!
I hope you feel better soon, and if you can't get any aloe or aloe products, at least cool it off using ice, ice packs, frozen vegees, whatever it takes to take the heat out!
*hugs*
