The resistence factions seem multi-faceted from all accounts so I wouldn't label them all as baathists, terrorists, or freedom fighters. If I understand the culture correctly the coalition made enemies with every house search and search of women. Not to mention the family and friends of the thousands killed by the invasion who want revenge as much as the people who lost loved ones to Saddam. Nationalist/Tribal factions exist with no love for saddam , the Baath party, and the coalition. The danger is all these group coming together and deciding to kill each other later and work together now to fight a common enemy, *cough* "us" *cough*. This may or may not be already happening.
Sure some...perhaps a majority, of Iraqi's do love and accept the Coalition but many who did two months ago don't now by all news account I have read and heard.
FUBAR situation if you ask me.
