As for the main debate. If there's one thing I dislike about my fellow left-wingers (in general, not in this forum) it's that hyporitical tolerance which DEMANDS others to be tolerant. Most of them don't realize how paradox it is when they say: "I'm so tolerant but I hate you because you are intolerant".

This is not one of these cases. Nobody is denying Coulter her own opinion. We a re critizising that she presents her opinion as if it was a fact and therefore leads others to believe it although she probably knows it isn't correct. It's similar than the issue with Michael Moore who in his (otherwise interesting and inspiring) movie choooses to deliberately present things as facts which he knows aren't. He never says them out loud but he does make the viewer believe certain points which are incorrect. While the truth in the rest of the movie still remains it also does so in Coulter's article. But some facts are deliberately misrepresented in both (Coulter's article and Moore's movie) and this is IMHO one of the worst forms of dishonesty.
