Such materials *used* to be available to just anyone, then some SMART ASS decided splitting atoms would be SOOOOO cool, and it would be extra cool if they used that nice steel-refiner Uranium...We used to have the hardest and best steel ever made (and it wasn't radioactive) with U-238, and then...Some Jerk-ass, some...Niels David Henrik Bohr (maybe it's Henrik David, but you know what, if you want me to get it right, get fewer names! I don't care if I'm the one making the mistake!) perhaps, brought the trouble on us, then the damn Rosenbergs decided to make a big deal, and sell the secrets to the Russians, and now I can't own radioactive materials and sell glo-grass seed to people in Wisconsin!

The only real problem I have with the situation is that there is no guarantee the people in charge are any more trustworthy than Terry Nichols on Crystal Meth...
