[/QUOTE] Ah, but they have a level of paranoia that we didn't have. Besides, if the government is having to crack down on hairstyles, then they are scrambling to maintain a grip on their own country. It's like a national version of obsessive-compulsive disorder, like when a person begins washing their hands 50 times per day to stay "clean". The desire for conformity and the distrust of foreign hairstyles and clothing are simply the indicators of this paranoia.
