I'm not torn at all between my stomach and my ethics. If you eat this, I have little respect for you.
The froggies are passing this law to make a political stand against some localities in the US which are proposing to make foie gras illegal.
In case you're curious what funnel-stuffing has to do with making the bird into food, foie gras is a "delicacy" made from distressed, enlarged, poisoned goose liver. Over stuffing the birds' stomachs causes their livers to enlarge.
