Just wanted to say that the problem seems to have solved itself. The next time I rested in an outdoor area, Dermin spawned.
Maybe that was the cause - I was in the City & in dungeon areas & Dermin couldn't appear. What puzzles me though is why the same dialogue wiuld reoccur every few (game) days.
