Timber, try Groton state park in VT, the little deer mountain hiking trail (if my memory of the name is correct) the trail ends at the top of the mountain (ok, hill for those of you that live near the Rockies
) continuedown the other side about 75-100 yrds you break through the forest and come to a rock outcropping overlooking the valley and lake below.
