Lennoncook, if he WAS doing it maliciously, you're right, he's not too good a friend!
But I would add that there is a virus/glitch or whatever that effects MSN messenger and what you described is pretty much what the thing does. I've been on with friends and had things suddenly pop up for transfer only to find out they never sent them. Also I'd see offers to start games I don't even have! LOL So it was a clue that the program was messing up, not my friends.
Either way, it's a pain to deal with! I wish you luck!
