Maybe in large cities this may be the trend... but I live in the boonies. My brother calls folks like those described in the article "cityfied" (a dire insult). Since we got back from a year in LA he's been accusing my boys of becoming cityfied, which usually results in a snow war, mud war, arm wrestling contest, or some other suitably uncityfied activity to prove they're still redneck at heart. [img]smile.gif[/img]
Personally, I don't really care how people dress and look as long as it's not too far out there. One factor in choosing Engineering as a profession was because when you're good you can dress however you want and no one bugs you. In fact people almost expect us to dress strangely. (Jeans and Flannel today, I look more like a lumberjack than a Project Engineer [img]smile.gif[/img] ).
