I like virtually everything except Pop and Modern Country. I lean towards Alternative and Metal. Typically the more it appeals to teenie-boppers the less it's likely to appeal to me (guess I'm an old fart), but there are many exceptions (like if the artist has any actual talent... something rare in teenie bands)

The White Stripes

Red Hot Chili Peppers

and there's probably twice that number of older bands like Floyd, Zep, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Kline, etc...

Then there's the top top, just a few there:
