so far as i see it, no one should be using a machine that old. if i were you i would suggest getting a mini-itx machine. very versitle, and above all really cheap. go to www.mini-itx.com . the mobo's have everything on board, can be upto a gig, and are cheap for what they are. she could even keep her hdd (not that she should).

i seem to be the tech support for everyone i know, and even I wouldnt touch a macine that old for fear of it crumbling to dust.
