A friend of mine's got one of these and I went for a ride once - it's the most stripped down road racer ever. No stereo, no airconditioning, no carpet, no roof
manual windows, no power steering (a car this light who needs it?) and you feel every single bump because the suspension's so taut. Plus once you're on the freeway you can't hear a ferking thing because the engine's howling away right behind your head. But gee does it FLY and it handles like a demon. It uses the same 1.8L 4 cyclinder, 88KW engine that's in my sister's MGF but it's damn light - about 675kg or something (compare that with a Mazda MX-5 at 1100kg). It's practically made of aluminium and will hit 0-100km in 6.5 secs.
Eat that, Porsche Boxster. Rest in peace, Colin Chapman.
