There are more considerations to be made than simply Trueclass vs. Multiclass. Fighters and Clerics are almost the same character class when they start out, since the Fighter's THAC0 and ApR only kick in as they gain levels, but near the end of BG1 you may very well come to appreciate Yeslick's combat advantages. Fighter/Clerics can also use a wider variety of items than pure Clerics; Potions of Invulnerability and Giant Strength are two very good examples. Look at their stats, too, think about the distribution of certain items you would use with a given distribution of party members, and think about how Branwen and Yeslick would fit into that distribution. Also, consider that while Yeslick is Good, Branwen is Neutral--meaning that as your Reputation goes up, you're going to have to lister to her complaining ALL the time. Etc.
