Shocked The plane that 'landed' in the Hudson river had issues days before?!?!?

Holy CRAP if this is true.. TWO bird strikes in so many days? seems unlikely. They need to observe that flight routes airspace.. watch to see if birds are there a lot..

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/01/19/hud...olo/index.html

I get kinda freaked when we hit turbulence.. you feel the 'falling' sensation.. freaky.. Don't mind flying though..
That engine, if this turns out to be the same plane, must may have hit a bird days ago, and what was 'left' of this bird could have caused issues with the compression--but BOTH engines were out when it 'landed'... so I dunno...

We'll know soon....

PS: That pilot ROCKS. He deserves a metal or something. Damn smart guy! He's lucky he didn't have engines when he landed--made it slower... Just nice to have some GOOD news for once, eh?

Dude, birds are a fact of life, it's not so hard to imagine a plane running into them, it is just a matter of random chance. How many flights a day world wide? How many birds world wide? &*^% happens.

Seriously how many times have you almost hit a deer, or a dog or a squirel with your car? I can't count the times I've come close. Oh and I did hit a goose once.....and a deer once, and a porkypine, and squirels...come to think of it, ever walked a runway or a road and counted the dead critters? There are loads of them.

The Pilot and his family got tickets to see Obama today.

..and yes, birds get hit by planes; there's not much that can be done.

It certainly was great to hear the good news though.

Dude, I know birds hit planes. Actually around 800 or so per year. But the same exact plane TWICE in 2 days? no... There is more to this story I think.
