Weimer Mods

I've seen a lot of references to these Mods, but don't know very much about them.

What are they and where could I find them?

Basically, a mod made in WeiDU (= Weimer Dialogue Utilities) won`t stop you from putting on other mods. Non-WeiDU mods often override, or even replace, some important files, meaning that if you put two of them on, one of them will stop working properly. If your game still works, that is...

WeiDU mods on the other hand don`t replace or override any files that might cause that, meaning that put seventy-eight WeiDU mods on your game, and it still works properly. [img]smile.gif[/img]

And in the interest of world peace I will point out that this isn't always STRICTLY true. It is possible and in some cases true that a WeiDU mod will overwrite one or more game files, but the instances are few and far between. By and large, WeiDU mods are intercompatible but there is no "guarantee" and it's always a good idea to check READMEs and ask around.

That said, I am the world's leading outspoken proponent of doing basically everything in WeiDU whenever remotely possible, because basically, as long as you do things intelligently, all of this is true. [img]smile.gif[/img]
