New Game!!

Righty, i've recently started a new game due to loads of problems i had with the last one (kept crashing!) - this is my party so far

Me - Cleric/Ranger
Minsc - Ranger
Jaheira - Druid/Fighter
Jan - Mage/Thief
Aerie - Cleric/Mage

Now eventually i'm going to give my PC the FOA - but because i've already got 2 Clerics and a Druid i don't really need Anomen (had him in the last game) - and i don't want Korgan as he's Evil.

i've never used Valygar, Mazzy or Keldorn. Who do you reckon would fit nicely into the group?

I would go for Keldorn since his decent anti-mage abilities and some tanking value - with his ah-so-decent Carsomyr [img]smile.gif[/img]

Aye! seeing as i accidentally killed him in the last game, i might give him a go!...i was in the sewers and sent off a fireball to disptach some weak little critters...unfortuanetly Keldorn was standing where i couldn't see him....result was he charged at me and had to be dealt with...POO!

I kept him mainly for his Dispel Magic ability, which was my ultimate helper against liches. Imagine a lich buffing up, then Keldorn casts his Dispell and my char hurls Azuredge... bam! Dead lich with little effort.

Keldorn also has PfE, which is good to have in some situations to avoid loading&resting to prepare the spell.

As an alternative, try replacing Aerie with Edwin. He beats her as a mage, and you already have plenty of 'divine energy floating around' [img]smile.gif[/img] He is evil tho,

and will fight with Minsc at some point. My advice would be to keep your rep at 16-17, so the fight does not occur (am I right about this one?)

I see you've considered Mazzy. I always take Mazzy, I tred a game intending not to take her for once but once I got to the area were Mazzy is I couldn't help but take her she's my favorite NPC. I know I harp on about her but she's AMAZING! With a bow she's killer and she would round of your team nicely. IMO she's an even better melee fighter than Keldorn as well IF you give her a strength belt. All I can say is take Mazzy you won't regret it!

Mazzy's awesome...she's the most powerful NPC in my opinion. On the other hand, however, Big-Paladin-Sword beats any of the short swords in the game.

Maybe if you give her a nice halberd, like Blackmist or Dragon's Breath. Ii always like seeing her carrying a weapon that's twice her height...

Keldorn's True Sight and PfEv are both very cool, but I usually only keep him for a very short period of time as I usually only take him when I'm CG, and, well...it was the in character thing to do at the time.

yo, where's your thief???? I've always considered a rogue to be essential to any good adventuring party. but if you want a tank then I'd go with Mazzy just cause I find the fact that she's a tanked halfling to be enormously funny.
