A Dream Bug? (might contain a minor spoilor)

Yesterday I decided to start playing again, as I wanted to go through SOA with a solo character. Right now im in the dream where you have to lead Bhall into Candlekeep to Imoen and then fight him. I remember doing this fine a long time ago when I had played SOA before, but now I cant get him into the building. I'll lead him upto the door, then I'll go in, but he wont follow. After trying that a few times, I decided to try a cheat to add him to my party to bring him in, then let him go once Imoen sees him. Doing this Imoen will say "attack now" (etc), but he stays in his invincible state. Im not sure what wrong, if its a bug or not, since I've done it all before. I have ToB with the latest patch installed, so I dont think its that. Anyone have an idea, maybe im just forgetting to do something. Thanks.

Have you tried the Baldurdash fix pack? Check the newcomers thread for details.

First off, thanks for the quick reply [img]smile.gif[/img] . Anywho, I just got the Baldurdash fix pack, but it didn't help the problem. Is there any other way to bypass the dream? Thanks

PS: How long ago did this change from Ironworks? I was on the forum here a while ago (maybe a year), and checked occasionally.

Hmm, I can't really help you then...but do you have any mods installed? They may be the source of the problem.

Ziroc (webmaster) sold the Ironworks name about a month ago for $45 000 [img]redface.gif[/img]

You talked to Imoen and then tried to get Bhall to go through the door right?

I dont think it works if you have not talked to Imoen the first time.

It works if you dont first talk to Imoen too,.. it's a pretty weird bug.
Did you try a few times in one game, or did you reload too ?
Sometimes restarting/reloading can do amazing things ...
Anywayz, I've never read a post naming this bug, so that's the only thing i can think of, sorry

I've tried a bunch of combos (i.e. not talking to imoen first, talking to her, leading bhaal in when im out of sight/in sight...etc), and none of them seem to work. I've also tried reloading the save before it, and totally restarting the game, but that didn't seem to help either. I remember in BG1 there was a way to skip chapters, but im not sure if its in BG2. Although I dont want to, if I have to do that then I would.

When you lure him in the library, pause the game and write this line into the console:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AsylumPlot","GLOBAL",30)
That should start his speech (I am your instinct, yet you deny me...)
