Is there anyway to turn off the fog of an unexplored area?
I know the fun of the game is to walk around all day and find stuff. I am impatient, so shoot me. I was wondering is there a hack or other way to get rid of it, or make the computer think I already explored the area.

Open the cheating console window (CTRL-TAB) and type this:
Cheats:ExploreArea() That should "explore" the entire area for you, although I've never tried it before... BTW, this only works if you have Cheats=1 in your baldur.ini file.

First, you have to insert the following line into your baldur.ini file:
Cheats=1 It goes under the [Game Options] section. Now, when you are in the game, press Ctrl-Tab to open the console. Type the following line & hit enter. CLUAConsole:ExploreArea() You can press the Esc button to exit the console. That's all there is to it.

quote: You should try it sometime- it's neat to see the graphics of areas you couldn't see otherwise. The areas with oceans and waterfalls are examples of really cool graphics that are normally never seen. Try it on an area you've already explored so there's no feeling that you've cheated.

quote: Hmmm that's a good idea. I've always wanted to see the rest of the first area outside of Candlekeep... and the Gnoll Fortress as well. Thanks I'll try it out. It just never occurred to me for some reason

I like the fog, it helps you keep track of where you have been so you dont miss anyone, If you want to get rid of it without cheating you can cast clairvoiance(This only works out doors though)
