Everybody remember that awesome +3 two handed sword in Tales of the Sword Coast? I belive its called the Lands Edge or something similar...Anyways, I wanted to start a new game where I ran a character all the way thru BG1-ToB with unique items like Khazgorath's Claw, Golden Pantaloons, and The Lands Edge Sword. Eventually I planned on collecting all the unique but hit a snag very early on as the sword would not import or shadowkeeper in. If I paused as the new game started the sword was recognized as the harbinger. Argh! I know this sword is really just a simple +3 Two Hander but it kinda has sentimental value (and a REALLY cool icon) so I was wondering if there is any way I could get this item into the game.

I don't think that World's Edge (that's the name of the sword) made it to BG2. You're always free to use Shadowkeeper to create your own, though (or do you need IEEP to do that?)

I believe you would need IEEP for that

I know if you import that +3 two hander, it becomes that sword that has a chance of a fireball going off.

Weird, eh?

Yes, you would need IEEP, and some way of copying the icon(s) used in BG1, and carrying them over to BG2. A simpler way would be to edit one of the existing 2-Handers+3 to give it a unique icon, such as the ones used by the other copies of Spider's Bane.

The World's Edge was decent enough in BG2, but in my opinion it was too easily outmatched by Spider's Bane, especially by the time you find it. Simple weapon enchantment does not an artifact make, especially considering that there's nothing in BG that requires +3 weapons, except perhaps Loup Garou or some such.

Still, a +3 two handed sword that doesn't make you berserk is pretty handy...

Still though, Spider's Bane is better IMHO, but I always wondered, why didn't it grant bonuses against spiders?

Other than the "Free Action" thing
