stuck in snake temple

I have the idols and got the wand (which I have swopped with the Gypsies- who wants the orb of clarity by the way?)and the book of the serpent but cannot work out how to get to the naga queen. I burned 2 incence cones received from the snake statue in the brazier but that made no difference. there is a door at the bottom of a downward sloping passage that I cannot open and the grill where you originally come in via the back entrance where you originally see the Naga also seems permanently shut. Do these lead to the Queen?. Also I have the flasks which are empty what do I do with these? There is probably an obvious answer to these but I can get no further until I finish the quest here and its slowly driving me nuts.

You may have just struck a problem in the order in which you have done things.

First of all, the doors of which you speak : the door close by the back entrance doesn't open; the door that slopes down has a lever next to it. Guess what, it is the front door (no hidden goodies here). Talk to the prisoner in the cell off the torture chamber, he will tell all for the lockpicks of some guy named (sp R'Thark - well something like that - the guy that was murdered in the ruins of Bersault due East of Valieia). The other options are to bribe him for a lot of gold, or use a red hot poker on the guy. Will let you progress from there rather than tell you too much more - he should give enough hints on the empty flasks.

Now the problem. You are going to need 3 elements to enter the Naga chamber. One you have, one you can get, and guess what you just did with the other one?? Well, no prizes for guessing, you gave it away before using it. This is the first time I have encountered someone doing that in all the mails to this forum. I don't know you are going to be able to easily get the Serpent Wand back - can try killing her or pick-pocketing her. If that doesn't get back the wand then it's time for despair again Kevin - reload time my friend.
