Jantril is getting to be a pest. Did I miss a quest or something? I even pushed him to the little graveyard near the spire to no avail. Can I kill him? please!

I DON'T think you'll want to do that. When you have a character in the Priest Guild, one of the quests is to deliver him a message. When you do, he gives you a very good Trait (Arcane Void or something like that). DO NOT kill him.
