I do believe I was supposed to get a key from the Inquisitor to open H'Thark's cell in the Serpent Temple. I never found a key (or anything else), when I killed him. He was right inside a doorway when it opened, and after I killed him the door closed and nothing of his was left behind. I have looked numerous times and can find nothing there. Is it absolutely necessary that I speak with H'Thark? Is there another way to open the cell? I would appreciate any info! Thanks very much!

You don't really need to talk to H'Thark -
What he tells you is about the ceremony you have to do at the brazier to get the huge Serpent Head to open up -
burn the incense, use the spider nectar, wave the wand and then answer the questions (the answers are found in the library)

Hope that helps!

Wow.. that was quick! Thank you very much Wyvern. I appreciate the information. I might have figured out the sequence, but it would have taken me a very long while I think! You've been most helpful!
