I have an elvish warlock and every time he finds and amulet of silence or holding etc he can invoke it to get extra strength. There seems no limit to how strong he can get, he has strength of 21 and increasing rapdily since I switched the spawn rate up.

Is this a feature of being an elf, being a warlock or some trait he has aquired as I would obviously prefer a very strong warrior next time I play?

Welcome to the board Merack!

Stats are limited to a high of 24 - so any object that will increase a stat will do so!

Enjoy!

Also, the rings of Mariin can be invoked to produce Intelligence increases up to 24! Be on the lookout for them.

ANY amulet of ANYTHING (holding, healing, etc) can be invoked by any Warlocks. Up to 24. They can also be re-charged by selling them to the armory and buying them back. Make sure you sell using a character that has merchant, but only the warlocks can BUY it. My merchant isn't a warlock, so she can't buy them cheap, but she can sell them for more, and make less impact on the budget...

RealBinky: not only Warlocks, but Wizards, can invoke them as well! Good call for anyone not yet a Warlock.

Priests, however, cannot invoke them until they become a Warlock, if that's their desire.

Thanks for that, I've sold loads of them so I best go and buy them back. Can you use the start to train as trick to enable your rogues, samurari etc to use the amulets or do you have to be a fully fledged warlock?
