I would stick with 1.52. If you want cep 2 for other games, get it as well. (because Massive already has most of the content and maybe more, than cep2 has)

However, if you have all the CEP versions prior to 2, it won't affect game play in EfU. My ver 1.xx CEP is complete, all their updates, and I don't have any problems.

I had to reload NWN a few weeks ago.
I downloaded CEP2 but found it didn't contain all the files needed to get into Undermountain. Robertthebard has explained - thanks for that - that CEP 2 came out after the last official Bioware update and so did not contain some of the files from the earlier updates. I ended up doing downloading both CEP 2 and 1.52. It took hours. Basically 1.52 is essential but there is no harm in getting 2 if you want it. |

So for clarity here
Do not use CEP2 ONLY use cep 1.52 ... is that right?

Just going by my experience, download CEP 1.52 and you will get all the files you need to get into Undermountain.
You can get CEP2 later and at your leisure if you want or need it. CEP2 alone will not get you into Undermountain (though I stand to be corrected on that if someone has found a way to do it). |

Hey Mate,
Got to http://nwvault.ign.com/cep/downloads/ Download the below two files DOWNLOAD v1.52 Full Installation (.ZIP) DOWNLOAD CEP v1 NWN1.68 Patches by CEP TEAM (official) That will make you good to go as far as the CEP is concerned. So to answer your question Wellard. 1. Undermountain requires CEP1.52 (with the patches as above to work with the NWN 1.68) Other online mods may require CEP2 but if your not playing them you won't need it.
