Has anyone else read the Amtrak Wars series by Patrick Tilley?
I read them years ago, and liked them, even if I did think some of the characters and societies depicted were a bit stereotyped (OTT US nationalism, feudal Japan etc). I found the story quite involving and found that I could identify with the main characters who were all flawed in some way (narrow minded, jealous etc.) and deeply affected by the societies in which they were raised, which made them quite real. Anyone else read these and got any comments? They are not everyone's cup of tea and were not without faults, but still entertaining. ------------------  Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.
