Yar, recently heard of it, anyone going to see it? Has anyone seen it? Is it any good? I've heard the name Van Helsing... but who is he exactly? Why am I so ignorant?

Van Helsing is the guy who was after Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel.

I've just seen it yesterday and must say it's a long time since I've laughed so hard

Not bad, the female vampires are sooooo ooh laa laa. I don't mind being alone with one.

!

As I loved the Hellsing anime series, like vampires and thought the poster is very nice, I really hoped this would be a good movie.

I'll just hope that the upcoming Neon Genesis Evangelion live action movie won't be another no-brainer money sniffing Hollywood movie.. YEAH RIGHT!

The best scene was the end scene when Count and Van Helsing were fighting... everything else was vague.

I thought it sucked. Was a huge let down in my eyes. It had really good potential and they made a mess of it. A real shame.

I don't know if anyone's seen Battlefield Earth, but Van Helsing is on about the same level. Some movies are so bad that they're entertaining, but this, like Battlefield Earth, was just way beyond anything like that, plain torture to sit through.

I didn't exactly have high expectations for it, so the ridiculously exaggerated accents (The Count is a comedic genius) and cheesy dialogs weren't that surprising. What did surprise me was that with half the budget of the entire LOTR trilogy and Industrial Light & Magic doing the work, the CGI effects looked more fake than the spaceships of Babylon 5.
